Would be my team then. Straight replacements for Silva and Balo with AJ and Milner. No change to the formation or tactics.
Still a very good line up.
However. i do get slightly concerned with both Johnson & Richards on the same side of the pitch.

No we're not, we're realistically challenging for top spot, best results are a win for us and a win for sjoke.

I'd take 2 draws though if offered.
Forget the title now - after tomorrow Spuds will be 2 behind with game in hand - I can honestly see us battling with Chelski for 4th

God in heaven, why the negativity? Even if I accept your predicted result (which I do not) Spurs would be 2 behind with a game in hand, but would be yet to play Arsenal away (a game they will lose as usual) whereas we will have already played it.

So you can say Spurs will be 2 behind with a game in hand that they will lose and therefore they will stay behind.

this might work in our favour, it will be all hands to the pump when we haven't the ball, which will be a large %age of the game - not really silva+balo's bag - i doubt he'd have played both anyway

Silva is a massive miss, he is one of those players that can just naturally find some space and pick a pass and him and Tevez have developed a better understanding recently. But whilst Milner may not be a winger, I point to his performance away at Newcastle where he was brilliant in helping stifle their midfield (which will be required against Arsenal with their intricate passing) and also provided a brilliant pass to Tevez for our second. He has improved a lot over the last few games for us and is starting to create chances. I am more than happy with him coming in, especially as AJ has the ability to draw and beat two players at a time allowing more space. Our squad is strong, AJ is a different player than Silva admittedly but can be equally as effective and Milner Im sure wouldve played instead of Balo anyway and is at least reliable to give 100% for the team even if he may not have the ability to do what Balo can. Keep the faith blues, we are due a win there and we can win the battle in midfield and get something from this game! Mancini will not change his gameplan just because Silva is out, it will be about restricting them and knicking a goal! Come on Blues!

It's been known for some time, so hardly worth starting another thread. As I said before, it will now be a damage limitation exercise tomorrow. At least an Arsenal win may hurt the Rags more than us because we are realistically battling for third place with Chelsea and Spurs in my view. Nothing wrong with that.

With all due respect fuck off you irritating clit

Agree with the above 2 posts.

You don't go to Arsenal and try to out Arsenal Arsenal, if you know what I mean.

The Silva-led City with swift passing and movement is terrific to watch because it is so Arsenal like, but they are better at it than we are (having been practising it for 10 years, vs our 6 months).

Our best chance is to play a very strong midfield that presses them all over the park and to leave one up top to get them on the break. Open, end to end football with Silva and Balo playing would probably mean getting beaten.
