Don't tell me they have him playing as a true number 9 like Italy do.

We will regret the day he left us. But with the shit he had to take from all side he won't miss us.
Nope

Are you watching the game? he's the focal point, the main man, the top dog upfront.

Playing like he cares.

Mario always cared.

It is my belief that Balotelli cared too much when he was here and it worked against him. He appeared to want to be loved by everyone and be a big success however his immaturity created situations which kept coming up to haunt him.

Instead of being loved he became a media toy, hated by everyone not connected with City. Story after story running him down, critiquing, calling him a clown... Pundits like Hanson and Rednap constantly publically berating him... Is it any wonder he lost his will to succeed here?

Even if he came across as not the smartest tool in the box he most certainly knew he was not the hero he wanted to be.

A joker, immature? Yes, but generous and an uncut diamond that may well become the finished article in a place where it won't 'always be him' getting blamed for everything.

I wish him luck. He praised our fans, our team, the players and the management, not remotely necessary but he did it, so respect.

The filthy rag media who hounded him out will be the first to suffer from his departure as their column inches shrink and sales fall now that their scapegoat has left them all sitting in their own stagnant cess pits of rag infested shite.

Still won't stop the same old people having a go.

He hasn't done anything much different in his first half yet already there are accusations of he's trying harder and what not, which isn't true based on this 45 minutes.

Too much emotion involved between him and Mancini, mainly from the latter in truth. Inhospitable environment for him here. Just hope the snipers don't come out when he inevitably becomes a superstar there.

He scored on his debut for us too if I recall correctly. He left with a reputation of not being that great, depending what you care about in the world of football. As someone else has already said, he's found his level. Fair play to him for doing that.

Is that the same level he found against Germany
If you could say 'and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and - and another load of ands with various games after them, you'd have a point.

I think he came here to do a bit of growing up and get away from the "Blacks Can't Be Italians" thing that was following him over there. He didn't come here to become a star for City, that's what he's gone back there for.

interesting comment

He is a centre forward, like Edin.

Roberto isn't fond of centre forwards, he likes his players to contribute right across the park. Like today with Edin picking up the ball left and right channels, needing to deliver a quality cross to someone like, er, Edin Dzeko...

No he isn't he started on the left, drifting around and dropping deep.

Mario on fire

Half time and Mario scored already plus two good shots and an assist. My god what have we done?

he's going to be prolific over there, playing at a lower level where his heart's actually in it. unfortunately for us it's clear he didn't want to be here so imo we'll have never seen the best of what he has to offer, nevertheless good luck to him

Re: Balotelli (ALL IN HERE PLEASE!)

He is having a great game, but I think his style suit the "slow" Italian League.

Re: Balotelli (ALL IN HERE PLEASE!)

Scored a goal in 23rd minute for AC in his debut...

Are u kiddig me?
Hes playing as a no9. The center of a 3 man forward

El shaarawy is and always will be the left wing niang the rite and balotelli cf

And completely accurate. I always knew that he run away from problems he found himself in his last Inter days and that he never was supposed to make it at City. Wrote it here much, much before he left.

But how long would we have had to wait for him to start playing well for us ? We've given him loads of chances, for one reason or another it wasn't happening for him here.
