Winter Break? Serie A ended the same time as La Liga.

Im not comparing the two, Messi is otherworldly... But Balotelli is very close in scoring in 2013, with a chunk less games played

-- Fri Mar 29, 2013 5:45 pm --

I love mario, and at the risk of being bombarded with abuse, he will win the ballon d'or within 3-5 yrs.
I bet you he won't.

If he maintains his steady growth and maturity there's no reason he cant.
He's definitely not there yet, though

Why? He has all the quality and will thrive at milan. We will see.

And of course, he is not there yet. But milan are lucky, because they will have in my view who i expect to be the best player in the world (mario), the best right back in the world (de sciglio) and another player who may be incredible (niang). Oh, and el shaarawy. They will certainly be a force to be reckoned with.

In 2 years there never really was a game where i watched him and thought "this kid could be special" but who knows he might turn out to be a world class player over there, couldn't cut it here.

The lad is special driven out by of English football by people involved in the game without morals or scruples!

No, just my opinion. I loved Mario and still do, guys a brilliant character but for us he didn't do all that much tbh.

"didn't do much".... sure, I can see if from a City fan POV

"didnt see anything that says this kid is special"... that I can't agree with

1 game??? Cumon you can probably count the amount of good games he had on 1 hand. Like I said he still might turn out to be a world class player but I didn't see that potential at City.

I so wanted Mario to be a success at City that me and others gave him more leeway than any other player. He played his part in fucking demolishing Fergies' best 6 fucking 1 in their own backyard (never to be forgotten) and provided the pass that Aguerooooooooo buried.

Happy days Mario. I hope you find the happiness at Milan than God's Own City couldn't.

We shall see indeed. But he will have to do many things to take the Ballon D'or away from Messi. Maybe he won't because Messi is 24/25 (can't remember) and he will still win the award I feel until he's 32+. However I think what itchy scalp was trying to say that he'll develop into a world class player, not all world class players win the Ballon. And THAT is what I will want to see from Mario, him develop into a world class player in the 3-5 year span that itchy has set. Time will tell.

Plenty of stats were cherry picked to belittle his contribution to City.

Don't like it back?

Pigeonho is the one doing the cherry picking. Winter break in Spain is between just before Christmas and just after new year. The first game back in Spain was the 4th of January, with Barcelona's on the 6th. Mario didn't play his first game for AC Milan until the 3rd of Feb. Pigeonho is trying to paint the impression that due to the winter break, Mario has had more time to score his goals than Spanish players. Reality: He's had a month less.

In my clumsy way I was trying to say that the anti's particularly Cookster were taking stats to prove their sad agenda.
Folks could make v. Allegedly sound like a poor striker if you take his last few club games in isolation.

Sad agenda, Stats? WTF are you talking about!

I never dragged out any stats. The guy couldn't give a shit about City and has added to the argument by the added effort he is now putting in at Milan.

You keep s*cking Mario off and i'll stick to being a fan of City Fan.

I miss him. Not sure I miss his football, though. He really was neither use nor ornament last season.

vs Chievo

8 fouls against Balo, leading to 6 yellow cards - 2 of these added together to one red
