Mario's ban is up......

Bench. To come on if:

1/ by 70 min we haven't scored, or;
2/ by 70 min we are 4-0 up.

Just becasue in scenario 2, it would make it even better if Mario scored against them for another t-shirt celebration.

Not being funny but Man City only beat West brom, Wolves and some other poor teams without Baloteli.

Don't forgot all the points Balotelli won Man City. His goals against Man Utd, his last minute penalty against Tottenham, his winner against Arsenal.

Lets face it without Balotelli Man City wouldn't be in the title race at this stage of the season.

Even against Arsenal, he was your most dangerous attacker while Aguero did nothing of note.

To not even consider him on the bench would be foolish. This game is set up for Baloteli to come on and win the league for man city. Be grateful of his contribution because if you win the league he deserves every bit of the success.

Yesterdays second goal came from Tevez fighting for possession, winning the free kick and getting the gamee moving as quick as possible, if Mario had been involved we would have had a couple of minutes of sulking, arguing and the last thing on his mind would have been the quick free kick.

100% correct. As much as we hate to recognise it; Tevez has been the catalyst for our recent run of form.

Not that I disagree with the general point but what winner against Arsenal? Silva scored the only goal at Eastlands and Aguero scored the winner in the cup.

But yes, most people are hanging Balotelli far too readily when his previous record against the rags in competitive games is a very good one. Evidence also indicates he can wind them up better than they can wind him up. Balotelli doesn't get wound up by the opposition. He gets wound up when he's frustrated with himself.

He's also a player who scores important goals and yet some wouldn't even have him on the bench? These people I do not understand one iota.

Not enough people are considering the change in circumstances between now and then. Last time we played with Balotelli, we played 3rd in the league without Silva, without Yaya and without Richards. People are really wondering why we're performing better with these players in the team against West Brom and Norwich? I'm not saying there's no issue as it's been highlighted that the partnership with Aguero and Balotelli has not been profitable overall. It's possible that it doesn't work. That said, a team with Aguero and Balotelli destroyed the rags 6-1.

We can't split up Tévez and Agüero in the form they are in. It would be madness to do so.

Even by having Balotelli on the pitch, it would hinder the Argentinians, because he likes to lead the line and so would effectively be treading on their toes and that would stop Sergio making those brilliant off the shoulder runs we've seen a lot of in the last 3 games.

No, for me, we keep the same line up of Silva, Nasri, Tévez and Agüero.

That said if we need that creative spark and we are looking lackluster, Balotelli would be a great asset to throw on the pitch in a time of need. He gets under the Rag's skin and they can't cope with him when he's on song. Bringing him on fresh if we need a goal after 60 minutes would be best.

Silva has looked off recently, still hasn't quite recaptured that early form. I say we should sacrifice him for Balotelli if needs must.

Unless you want to watch someone crashing to the ground every minute and disrupting the flow of our recent resurgence then I'd have him in one of the corporate boxes doing magic tricks with his mates. I'll be fuming if I see him starting. Mancini won't be that foolish surely.

Bench at best.

Tevez and Aguero in front of Nasri, Silva, Yaya and Barry/de Jong has worked wonders in recent games. We've looked back to our best, confidence has been sky high and the players have shown a togetherness that seems to be lost.

Fans aren't the only ones pissed of with Balo's recent antics. Him starting sends a bad message to the rest of the players.
