That's not going to happen Clattenburg being suspended from refereeing our games .
Although it's not just him .
There's a long list of them and I can't be bothered naming all the awful referees City have had this season .

If we as supporters started a campaign to send to the club, complaining about Clattenburg, and the owners were to see the depth of our concern and anger at such blatant incompetence and/or downright bias, do you think that would change their approach - or will they just continue to treat the situation with a dignified silence ?

At the very least, the club (in fact all clubs) should be making it known that they are unhappy with referees acquiring agents and trying to become personalities while they're still active in the game.

If a referee wants to make more money from personal appearances etc, how does he best achieve this?

a) Refereeing competently to the point people don't comment on his performance, or

b) Being at the centre of controversy, making contentious decisions and adopting an arrogant, dismissive attitude like Clattenburg when dealing with players?

There is a potentially a huge conflict of interest for a wanabee-personality referee between making the right call and making a decision which will leave themselves the headline news.

Two pens in added time. The one in the Red pen area not given after Crapps thought the one in the Blue area would hand three points to the Dippers. As stonewall a pen as the one on Sterling, Aguero or Navas. Jole hauled down by St. Jamie! Wee Davey was furious and it was some time before Crappenberg got another game at Goodison. It does work.
