Keep Hughes. I would only doubt him after 3 or 5 years. You can´t build a successive team in a few months.
Do you really think that a morinho, rijkaard or a scolari would do a better job?

I really think the first two would.

What a bunch of fucking wankers you are! Especially that lying bastard Blueonblue.

Its fans like the morons who have posted on here is why we have the BITTER tag. Clueless ***** who know fuck all about football!!

You say he knows fuck all about football but he said "We are only looking a settled side against poor teams, on paper for instance we were on a four match winning streak going into todays game, but the truth is that the results flattered us, west brom were better for a fair bit of the game and had they had a finisher would have beat us, blackburn had us in trouble a few times and to be fair they are a very poor team, and Hamburg was more individual preformances than team play.

There have been games where we have had the right team with the right tactic, everton away as an example.........but that same tactic and team will not work against everyone we play, nor can it be changed by having a bench full of like for like players.
" all what he stated here is correct!
In what games can you remember Hughes changing his tactics either before or during a game to suit the team we were playing against and get us ther points we needed?

there are 3 instances this season where Hughes has showed total ineptitude:
1. Spurs at home, Fernandes was sent off and Hughes waited and waited and waited to get a midfielder on in his place for one of our four attacking players to sure up the defence. he sent our Hamman to warm up, Hamman was signalling he was ready, Hughes still waited and waited ............... before the change was made Spurs scored! We ended up losing that game!
2. Playing 2 holding players against Forest in the cup - what the fuck was that about!?
3. His lack of motivation and inspiration for the players on derby day today! it was clear to see that whatever he has worked on in training all week, whatever he said in the changing rooms before the game, did not inspire the players to play with their hearts on derby day!

To be honest i would like to see him given next season and see what he does with the team next year! From the summer of 2010 Guus Hiidink will be available after coaching Russia to a probable world cup quarter or semi final like he did Australia, Russia in the Euro's and South Korea! if Hughes isnt up to it next season then see what happens!

Its no good trying reasonable argument with the fool that is bluepeter dan, he only shows his ignorance with his drivel, in fact between you and me I think he is clueless enough to be hughes

This just says it all.
I'm getting severely disillusioned with the same old crap on here. I know I'm a new poster, but I've been watching and reading BM for years. What the f*ck has him being a rag got to do with anything? And while I'm on that, I'm embarassed today by our fans. Why the f*ck are we chanting "same old munichs, always cheating"? Why can we not see that we may as well have mullered the minute silence last year, because the second that word comes out of our mouths, any respect and credit for doing what we did last year is obliterated.

I'm pissed off as f*ck about today. I hurt like hell. Walking out of that soulless hell hole today with those gloating tossers seriously makes me ache. But MH once having won things with them makes jack all difference to me. He looks like he's got real desire to win us things and has got integrity too. I SAY KEEP HIM , BIG TIME

In terms of the team, FFS what is the fella supposed to do? There'd have been uproar if he'd have changed the starting line up today. In terms of substitutions ,look what he's got to choose from on the bench. They are 2-0 up and look who they put on. Rooney. It says it all. You only get that kind of depth after years of continuous player acquisition. You only get continuous player acquisition with a continuous manager. You only get a continuous manager if he is prepared to do everything he can to bring long term success to the football club as opposed to bringing it about for himself for a couple of seasons before having a hissy fit and f*cking off.
If we get Mourinho, forget it. It's all about him. we'd become another f*cking circus and he'd rape our club. I would rather someone quietly got on with it and was given proper time. It's no coincidence that the top four have got long standing managers is it?

Am gutted but I see progress. That's good enough for me.

Berko, your right about the Munichs rubbish, seems they have forgotten about Swifty AND Matt Busby being blues.

But there are a few other things I think you have badly wrong, starting with integrity, that would mean him holding up his hands on any of the very long list of c*ck ups so far, it has never happend, he has blamed anyone or anything other than himself, and whats more will continue to do so untill he`s kicked out.

"In terms of substitutions ,look what he's got to choose from on the bench"

On this again, HE picks the bench, and does it consistantly badly, like for like players will change nothing, other types of player give options, and before you even think we dont have players that can do just that, go and watch the reserves or the youth team, he would far rather whinge about how crap the squad is than take a chance on something different because he has only one tactic.

Whats he suppose to do team wise?,
How about picking a team for who we are playing, with a basic shape that we can hold and adapt to different tactics, the old addage of not changing a winning team has been dead since the squad system and three subs came in, we were not beaten today because we never took part in a game, just trotted down there to go through the motions, if you check the stats I bet you find the likes of Stoke and West brom and any other team had more shots on goal against the trash at the pit than we managed ( Boj shot is the only save I remember).

It's no coincidence that the top four have got long standing managers is it?
Nor is it coincidence they are competent, a fool is a fool no matter how long you give him.

I dont see progress, nor am I gutted in the normal way because for the first time ever I had no hope of anything from a derby ( when I say ever I mean just that, even in the darkest days of poor teams I had hope) , I didnt think we would lose, I knew it, Hughes is a numpty.

Excellent post, top drawer, agree with all of that.

Progress, what progress?

I think we all need to realise that ADUG and Garry Cook seem to be taking the 'long term' approach. They're not saying that Hughes' first season has been a success, but they are going to stick with him for next season to have some stability in this period of growth. Personally I agree with the stability argument and process, it's just unfortunate that when ADUG took over we'd already employed Hughes. I don't think he'd have been their choice but, as he was already in place they decided to go with him. To remove him now could potentially be extremely detrimental to what will be the most important Summer transfer window for City in my lifetime (32 years).

I'm nbot saying Hughes has done well, or is the answer to our long term managerial issues, but in the next year or so we need to keep stability and, unfortunately that means keeping Hughes.

Just curious - I've been away from the internet and English media for a few days...

What are the indications that he's going to be given another season? Because to be honest, the speculation seems to be more that Hughes is a gonner...

Some might be paper talk - but you have to think there's no smoke without fire...
