Sat here, bit pissed up, and had a mad moment where I thought, 'wonder what Mark Kennedy's up to these days?'

Turns out he's playing for Cardiff of all clubs. Thought he'd be back in Ireland or something, given how we never hear about him.

Liked Kennedy, good player without turning up any stones. Lasting memory of him is him running towards Joe Royale at Ewood Park after scoring, fist clenched and shouting 'yes'. Not sure why I thought of him, maybe tomorrow i'll think of Carl Shutt....

He plays in defence for them as well, bizarrely. I loved him in that promotion season remember him orchestrating the away fan cheers at the end of a win at Walsall (I think) great days.

I'll always remember that goal he scored away at notlob, after we got promoted back up to the championship (whatever it was then), he just smashed from about 30yards, and it just went straight into the top corner, we won 0-1.

Mark Kennedy plays in defence?!?

The world's gone mad.

I know, it sounds way too strange to be true, but it is.

"BLUEBIRDS defender Mark Kennedy is grateful that fellow full-back Kevin McNaughton Kevin McNaughton is right-on - as it helps his own starting chances.

Left-back veteran Kennedy has been a regular since returning for the FA Cup victory over Bristol City last month.

But he admits he is grateful that McNaughton is in such good form at right-back because it doesn't raise the possibility of the Scot switching flanks.

"I've been trying to get Kev out of my position on the left," admitted Kennedy, 33, who has now played almost 500 first-team matches in 17 years."

was gonna mention. it was a screamer. weaved in and out and slammed it from at least 30 yards. we were the 1-0 kings back then.

During the promotion season under Royle to the Premiership he was a central figure. Unfortunately the Premiership was a step too far for him.
