Nope if we had won we stayed up and that raincoat would not have been jigging on our pitch
We only needed to draw.
It was heading for 0-0 people were exiting the Kippax in dribs and drabs as, with 85mins gone, it looked like nothing was going to happen in a dull match.
Halfway through one of the tunnels I was when a moan of anguish went round the ground.
The dribs and drabs became a flood of dejected supporters heading for home (or the pub!)
Awful match, awful result.
I, for one, will be happy to see them come up, because little would give me greater pleasure than to see them relegated by us on the last day of the season...( hopefully the fixtures will fall that way).

Pretty sure we relegated them at Maine Road in 92?

First time I’d seen grown men cry over football!! As a young whippersnapper I naively looked at it as an adventure going to all these new little grounds where we’d completely take over

His Dad was a Police Inspector I think, Robbins Mum was a member at Oldham Golf Club when I joined there back in the early 90’s, Robbins used to play the odd game there.
His Dad was a big blue. His Mum was a midwife at Crumpsall, she was really nice and had absolutely no time for Ferguson for obvious reasons. Makes you wonder why he is still supposedly a Rag.
