Mark Ward

I liked Mark Ward as a player because he added a bit of steel to the side, that along with important goals helped improve the side. That miss by Health in the home derby, from 6 yards summed up his time with us!

He had the best title for a footballers autobiography, From Right Wing to B Wing.
Is it any good? Never knew he had done one.

I did start reading it but for a reason I can't remember didn't actually get that far into it. Its probably still upstairs waiting to be finished. From what I remember the little bit I did read was alright.

He'll always have a special place in my heart as he scored the first goal I ever saw from The Kippax. It was against Luton as I recall. Always thought he was a decent player, took a good penalty too.

I think I remember him scoring a cracker at Loftus Rd once. Agreed, far from shite but not world class by any means.

not sure but think I was there. Tuesday night away. was it 3-1 ? I beleive a certain mr Hughes scored a very late volley equaliser that night against Oldham in the semis. took the edge off the journey home.Is this right or is my brain in need of wings ?
