Martín Zubimendi

Zubimendi over Ederson for me.

1st is Zubimendi, and 2nd is Ederson.

Very comparable, but I like Zubimendi for those Aerials won, Blocks, and Tackles, and think he is slightly more suited as a deep playmaker, rather than destroyer like Ederson.

I like Reijnders as well, but he isn't a DM, he is far more attack oriented:

But those attacking stats show he could be a great back up 10 (say when Kevin leaves), but could he be a great 8 with those defensive stats? I'm not sure, I also think I'd prefer Florian Wirtz as the new 10 when Kevin leaves but much harder to do.

Maybe he can be molded in a hard working 8, and he simply doens't have to defend in the Netherlands.

And this is Adam Wharton, making my list of midfielder priority:

Zubimendi, Ederson, Wharton, Reijnders (because he is attacking and Id prefer Wirtz)

Very good defensively with tackles and interceptions.

The pass success rate and attemps is worrying, but I think that likely boils down to playing for Palace.

He is also not the greatest in aerials won, which is worrying a bit, so Zubimendi and Ederson beats him.

So if we buy 2 midfielders, Zubimendi and Ederson is ideal.

He's not a DM, comment from a Atalanta fan online on a video.

"People have to watch him play, he's not a DM more a Box to box midfielder, he can play DM, but he's more box to box, full of running he's a good tackler and can score goals."

Might be why we are looking at him instead of Zubimendi maybe. More Gundo than Rodri. But that means Ederson and Rodri can play together. When Rodri is back
Even better if hes a box 2 box.

To round this out, here is Wirtz stats (bottom is defensive) compared to Reijnders, in a more competitive league. I pick Wirtz as the new 8.
