Did I ever claim Zubimendi isn’t talented? Someone asked about his mobility. So I specifically addressed his mobility. Was I supposed to say, he is mobile, when his not? I answered the questioned asked.Good job you weren’t scouting Rodri and Busquets with the latter not being that quick at all but regarded as arguably the best DM of all time by some. Modric isn’t quick either and at times played a holding role for Madrid.
All of these players are/were world class.
Talent and mobility are entirely separate matters, one has nothing to do with the other. Maybe try reading my post properly instead of just skimming through it.
Also, if you think pace isn’t essential—especially given the high line we play and the countless times we’ve been exposed on the break—then I genuinely don’t know what to tell you. Zubimendi isn’t Rodri or Busquets; his spatial awareness and ability to read the game aren’t at that level yet, perhaps in future, but not now. This means he’ll get caught out far more often than you’d be able to tolerate, particularly given the relentless pace of the Premier League.
That is why I also said, Reijnders and either Zubimendi or Ederson, would be a good pairing and balance of what we need!
