I'm surprised that not more has been made of the Demi yellow and Mertesacker red situation by the media.Maybe. The decision with Demichellis was a good one too for me. I think some refs would have sent him off for that especially away from home but i think there was just enough cover getting across although their forward could probably have got his shot away. .
Arse are usually only behind Rags and Dippers for press hugs and kisses.

Why would I be joking, he was through & taken down thereby being denied AV goalscoring opportunity, no covering players so fits the test.

It wasn't a goalscoring opportunity. Kun was out on the left hand side of the penalty area, with covering defenders behind Jenkinson. I can never understand how we can have a European ref on a Wednesday who, with little exception, seems to arbitrate the game's infringements with more than a passing similarity to what is written in the Laws of the Game, and then on Saturday, have someone who looks as though he's fully trained and co-ordinated for organising the rowing boats on the lake at Heaton Park.

I loathe Atkinson. I am always filled with dread anytime I see his ugly mug is the one making match decisions. He is far better now than he used to be, but I rarely watch a City match that he refs that I come out thinking "that was a good fair showing by the officials."

Atkinson reffereed the St(j)oke debacle and his 12th man performance was masked by our lot not turning up. I predict a red card for Otter.
We did win the FA Cup when Atkinson reffed, didn't we? Our first trophy since 1976. It could be worse.
I wish the tea lady was picking the team and tactics, thats more of a concern for me.
