To single one player out of yesterdays team for that first half slowing is laughable. Watford had runners coming at our defence from all angles with hardly any help from midfield meaning our defense was always stretched as Watford had so many options open to them. When in possession of the ball not only did Watford close us down really well nobody was making an effort to find space to receive a pass making it very hard to get afoot hold in the game. Fortunately half time came changes were made and the team came out with a different attitude and we saw the results. Trust the manager to get things right instead of wanting new players every time someone doesn't put in a world class performance.

He's not the main reason for them stats and you know it -against any real quality he's a real weakness, we was playing Watford today !!

We have played Bayern , Arsenal and Liverpool in that run.

We are 3 games away from our best unbeaten run in 130 years ( EVER )

Why the craving for change, I just don't get it one bit.

This guy was surely bought for cover only !!!
He shouldn't be our first choice CH or first choice CDMid either -he isn't good enough to be first choice-be honest, was he not bought mostly for the bench just in case? im not craving for change-id rather have seen rekik given a chance and i happen to think ther are actual midfielders within the club that should play in their preferred position before MD gets pushed higher up the pitch into a position that he is not known for playing or specialising in really( and before you point it out im aware hes played DM for other clubs from time to time, but them other clubs were at different stage of his carreer and this is a different mcfc nowadays) not saying he's SHITE- he just simply isn't good enough.
If i was a MFder in our squad it would be a kick in the teeth if MD was getting the nod before you in that position.

A very odd player as one match he looks class and composed and the next he looks rash and shakey. I prefer lescott, but I'm not the manager, and let's face it, he's class.

Hopefully we do get a top top centre half in the summer though

To be fair neither Rodwell or Yaya tracked the runner for the first goal, and Micah was MIA.

Second goal Yaya got mugged off and again the midfield didn't track the runners.

That's the way I saw it. Far too slow mentally and physically to play as a first choice. He has a part to play but not as first choice.

As for the stats, they tell you nowt.

Martin play better in CM. we should looking more solid CB, experienced, not too old and got leadership quality. Nastasic & Rekik can wait, they are still young and developing.

He's not good enough at centre half and he's defo not good enough in midfield - simples !!

Baffled by some of these comments - I thought he was great in the 2nd half. Dominant in the air and good awareness of his colleagues' positioning. Most of the play in CM seemed to go through him.

He's a decent centre back alongside Vinny, but not alongside Lescott, Lescott is also a decent centre back alongside Kompany, but not alongside Demichellis, Nastasic is a decent centre back alongside Vinny, OK with Demichellis, but not great with Lescott. Garcia is OK in midfield, not at CB with anyone.

We need a quality CB, the cover is OK, but when "the cover" is the team we look average, and we can't afford passengers like Rodwell in midfield at the same time, without Fernandhino playing.

He's a great passer but he is too slow and he commits to tackles way to early exposing us big time. On his day he is a decent player, no question, however, we need to buy in the transfer window and shore up our defence, we wont win the PL if we don't. Hope Pell has someone in mind and gets it done soon.
