As much as he may be out of pace of other players, the fact hes played more games than alot of other players shows how vital his play is to the team. He may get caught out a few times trying to anticipate play and what not, but commentators dont see how many times he gets the ball and starts of an attack. In the long run he should be replaced with a better player but for a small fee i rate he has a lot more input into how our seasons gone than people think, the goals weve conceded that are his fault, are negated in the way that weve normally won them games through our general attacking play starting from the back.

Valuable squad member but we need to get another centre back of superior pace and quality and ability to defend/ snuff out the main striker for the opposition many more times than not for next season.

in comparison to Richards first half performance Demi was 10/10

Sincerely hope that Demechelis is not selected at centre back tonight.
Against the spuds front two,i think he will struggle with pace.
He had a mare against a mobile Watford front line and Nastasic would be a better option IMO, but i'm sure Pelli knows that!
