Hes not great at the back and in CM was worse. I know we are short but insanity to play 4-4-2 with MD in CM.

Other than Vinnie, our CB options arent great, Nasty looks well off it, Lescott plays like he has mines under his feet all game & MD looks like making a mistake alot of the time, although i'd say he is ahead in pecking order for CB alongside Vinnie.

Demichellis was so out of his depth in the middle of midfield against the class of their midfield it was embarrassing. He can't be blamed for being asked to do a job he isn't capable of, the blame there must lie with Pelle. But for anyone to say he was out 'best' player is beyond belief. He was constantly a yard behind play, chasing shadows, doing his usual dive in and win every one in three. When Hazard beat him, DM walked, Hazard continued his run, picked the ball up again and assisted in the goal. So so out of his depth.

He was chasing shadows because he was trying to deal with up to three players at a time. If Luiz or Matic had played for us and MDM played for Chelsea, then MDM would have looked better.

If Matic was good, how come Yaya came close to scoring three times? If Luiz is so good, how come Silva came close to scoring 3 goals?

That statement is stunning in it's idiocy, unless of course you've only been a City fan for about 5 minutes........

It wasn't even worst performance of the night, let alone ever.

What about the tackle he missed on Hazard on the left, which led to the goal?

Seriously?

Hazard is delivering the ball from the right when Demichelis is on the other side of the pitch.

Nastasic is at fault for allowing Hazard to put the ball across.

Watch the build up to the goal again.

Long hopeful punt up field to Hazard on the left touchline. He physically holds off Demechelis and plays the ball inside. Hazard keeps moving across the full width of the pitch. Demechelis stays where he is. Hazard crosses from the right. Ivanovic scores after initial effort is blocked.

There are two further phases of play prior to the goal.

Hazard runs across the penalty box, which is when the central defence are then expected to track the run, not a central midfielder stuck in the right-back position.

The whole back line are guilty of ball watching at that stage, most importantly, Nastastic, who puts no pressure on Hazard's ball into the box.

There's a reason Mourinho spent the entire game telling Hazard to stay wide up top, and it was nothing to do with Demichelis.

Mourinho knew Zabaleta would not be able to overlap Navas as one of our most potent attacking outlets, because he would be caught between attacking and marking Hazard.
