I like the way that he comes out of defence and keeps the ball, whereas many other Premiership defenders would just clear their lines.

When you play with 10 men, you have to keep possession.

He has got some bottle too. I respect that. Took a lot of criticism and responds on the pitch. Lesser players and characters would crumble

I don't think anyone would ever suspect him of lacking confidence that's for sure. I don't imagine he gives the first shit what people say about him.

Someone did point out that one of the reasons for his good game yesterday might've been that we were forced to play more defensively, and therefore he got more protection. But yeah, we should definitely be supporting him when he puts the shirt on.

I would say less complacently rather than more defensively.

We defended a bit deeper than we normally do when Kompany is there and that definitely helped him.

Did well against 'ull.
still when you don't have to defend 20 yards of space behind you in a high-line defence it's a lot easier.

It certainly helped him, as did the fact that their game plan was to lump balls in the box from wide areas.

But I am well pleased for him to have had such a good game. Football is cruel and a couple of mistakes can make you a figure of ridicule throughout football. Ask Titas Bramble. It can't be easy for a proud pro to be lampooned like that throughout the country-even some of your own fans. I thought the singing about him in the square in Barcelona was pathetic to be honest.

He showed some guts did the lad and I'd love him to carry on playing as well, amd shove some of the criticism down people's throats. The way that back four played the high line on Saturday was hugely impressive.

Well done MDM

I do find that things like this take on a life of their own, a couple of bad games and the whole of the football world decides a player is shit, egged on by stupid pundits

'Titas' is that a reference to his parsimonious ways?
