Played very well today, but most of his bad moments have come in games where he has been caught out in the open misjudging tackles, interceptions etc, not games like today.
Today we were more together in a line heading balls clear & blocking, & he did it very well.

Martin Demichelis was outstanding today. I lost count of good defensive headers when the pressure was on. Top drawer player, albeit aging a bit.

Don't forget he signed for Athletico in the summer. And they're as good as it gets in Spain at the moment.
He's a top top player. Immense in the air today.
Lacks a bit of pace. But makes up for that in so many ways.
Easily part of our best CB pairing with Vinny.

the only problem with demichelis is he is prone to lunging in or going for balls which he shouldnt be.

My MOtM today. His decision making was spot on, he also stood up to every ariel challenge, (which there were alot).
He made one amazing challenge when they were on the break that if he got wrong, could have led to them being clear through on goal or us being down to 10men.
