Mary D's landlord moaning about City Square

I think they call this healthy competition,so it`s up to surrounding pubs to up their game.

You can`t say they haven`t been warned what city are planning.

Bit of a shit excuse really. City will need to take on new staff to cope with the extra demand and with the amount of jobs being created by the redevelopment it's not really a good argument.
I'd rather any profits coming from the pockets of City fans go straight into the club tbh.

just for the record i couldnt care less if kehoe is a rag a blue or nothing, he provides a service if people dont like it keep away ive seen worse pubs, but myself i stopped going in when he wanted extra for my 4x4 so now we park elswhere the excuse was it takes twice the room up when infact its shorter than an estate car, he's not only lost on his parking he;s also lost out on the 4 passengers drinking about 4 pints each a loss of £70 thats about £1400 over the season without cup games, he cant be that short of a few bob to turn that down as he's reading this thread my advice to him would be to change or improve the quality of beer and drop the price a little and the place would be packed again oh and have a flat rate for the parking

I would like to say i have been in the mary ds for years now an i have seen the work the staff do from 8am til late these people realy work hard an the place as been done up i have seen many famliys an met hundred of fans all enjoying there selfs win or lose you can get food & souvenirs not over priced it is still busy place even upstairs as been opened to be fair price all over are costly for a pint .this season you can photos of you an your familys,i seen people dancing enjoy good times fa cup dont dont put a good pub down as we all know running cost are high eveyware as we all know mary ds is dead when there is no football if people do not goin the pub would close like the rest around the area i dont think you would want that try it agian it as got better Thankyou

Not read the thread but it's a total shithole. I only go in there if I have to meet anyone. Would never drink there by choice. Better to go City Square or drink in town & get the bus in at the last minute IMO.
