MARY D'S

Is it just me, but why don't the club incorporate everything that was good about Mary D's - NEVER having to wait for a pint, great music, great clips, etc - and just do it in the stadium? Would much rather drink there pre-match than anywhere else.

Best (and richest) owners in the world + Best team in the world = best boozer in the world.

Take it you weren't there for Hamburg then? Was absolutely f***ing mental. Prices seemed pretty damn steep as I recall too...

Yeah, sorry, wasn't in there for the Hamburg game but have enjoyed all my days in pre-match. My point was taking the good out of Mary D's and putting it into the shocking service inside the stadium. Would much rather give my money to the club than to a boozer 300 yards away.

Glad it's gone, it was great at the beggining but the novelty soon wore off. The beer was terrible, there was more water in it than alcohol.

I can tell you 100% that Mary Ds is going nowhere, true he has a pipe dream that one day he could have a hotel on the site but not in the forseable future, and dont listen to the bullshit that comes out the mouth of the dj hes full of it!!

I'll be gutted my entrance k was a over the road, didnt have to leave till couple of mins before ko

Not a fan myself, must admit. I like a sing-song, but i don't like drinking beer that tastes like piss, simple as that. The old dear behind the bar and her staff aren't the most hospitable either. The DJ's a clown, plays the same three or four songs for hours and insists on stopping and starting them every few seconds to talk nonsense. Great being around loads of blues, goes without saying, but it's tacky as f*ck. I'm turning into a grumpy old man but i'd rather have a quiet pint (or eight) somewhere in town, like the Crown & Kettle, The Castle or The Lass, where i can get served in a couple of minutes, and then get a cab down.
