I'll still be wearing one on public transport as long as there are dickheads who don't cover their mouths when they cough.
That’s the thing about masks. They won’t particularly stop you getting Covid but they do stop you spreading it.
You could be vaccinated and it won’t stop you getting Covid, but will make the severity much less, but that won’t stop you spreading it.
A mask in my estimation is more like civic duty. It’s a minor inconvenience in the grand scheme of things but you’d be surprised how few people actually have a sense of civic duty.

The mask wearing unless its a cultural or religious necessity or for those wholive in cities with high levels of pollution is in fact a restriction on ones civil liberties.

My take on it is if you want to wear one , wear one unless in wearing one it has a negative health impact as it does on some in a variety of ways on you but even then its your choice if you can afford one.

if you don't want to don't once the mandate is removed , the virus has made prisoners of us in some form or another all partly for health reasons and partly due to the response.

Masks are for bank robbers and those who are embarrassed in showing their face in public.

hear in oz , the vast majority of people in my local community still wear masks even well after the health advice says otherwise.

We are in the main a group of people who do what we are told to do without question like good subjects.

my own take on it is most who are not used to wearing them would prefer not to as they itch and are an eye sore which is why they take them off as soon as they are in their own homes irrespective of covid risk in that setting but no doubt some would even wear them while making love to their partner now that are not into kinky sex as a rule.

Mask for me on public transport, and in supermarket.
Nice not to get colds and flu
Yes but after a couple of years of not catching minor colds when you finally do your body won’t be equipped to deal with it and it’ll take a more severe toll than the usual snivels and sneezes.

We’re supposed to catch things to let the body learn how to deal with them.

I think people will accept mask on public transport but lifted everywhere else for a bit and then ultimately nowhere from next spring.

Yep. Let kids eat mud, eat food after dropping it on the floor (10 second rules apply), let them eat bogeys… all good for the immune system

There was a theory floating around that one of the reasons we've seemingly had a big increase in allergies amongst kids in recent years is that they people are far more protective of them (so they don't let them play in the dirt so much) and hence their immune systems are less robust. Not sure whether that's true or not (or just a Daily Mail 'blame the woke snowflakes' story). However, there could be an element of truth insofar as allergies are a form of immune disorder.
