Several people were reportedly injured after a violent brawl broke out aboard the P&O cruise ship Britannia over an onboard clown

passengers used furniture and plates as weapons in the brawl, while other cruise-goers frantically took cover and attempted to hide

One witness, part of a group involved in the trouble, explained to staff that things kicked off when another passenger appeared dressed as a clown.This upset one of their party because they’d specifically booked a cruise with no fancy dress. It led to a violent confrontation.

I have a vision of the water tight doors all falling off in unison to the sound of a swanee siren with a backdrop of spinning plates from the buffet section.
