Good game that, pretty even I thought, both teams had good spells, we probably didn't deserve to win it, but we did, which makes it a great reult.

I wasn't that impressed with Rose at the back. LBB was excellent again, though clearly tired near the end, and started to lose concentration. Casperij was excellent again too.

No idea what beef Kelly has with the fans, totally over the top, and no need for the niggle at the end with former teamates either.
 
Really big win for the Lady Berts and the new manager that. Will Instill belief that they can and should be beating other leading sides.

Blinkilde-Brown again good - she's come on a ton this season - and thought Fujino excellent in that last 20 in keeping the ball and wanting it when the pressure was on.

I'm not arsed about Kelly celebrating - she can do what she wants as she's done nothing but piss on every bridge she had with City after she left. Noticed she's gone from our bench to Arsenals bench - and indeed she's a bench player for England too. Her best position - impact sub, but it gives her time to focus on her insta profile and what seems to be her main focus...herself.

Considering our absences that was a huge win - great to see Beney smash that chance home when she came on, and kudos to the manager for keeping us going forward and chasing the game when we were pegged back. There isn't a cat in hells chance we win that game under Mr Taylor.

Great to get the three points but it was a stressful watch at times. Our propensity to cause.problems.for ourselves at the back is astonishing. Back, side, side, further back, pressure and then problems. Crazy.
Our passing was loose and the left hand side especially in the first half was slow and troublesome.
It took us about 25 mins to get into the game and we came out for the second half equally half asleep.
Got the three points though! Well done Bunny in both boxes.

I mean - she clearly knows her stuff on the Women's game so is worth listening too in terms of that, but her accent is worse than Carragher's whiny mouse one tbh.

Agree about Rose. I was happy that Prior wasn't starting as she struggled last week but I thought Rose was worse today. Very, very nearly the cause of them getting a third.
 
Huge result that after yesterday. A point behind Chelsea and four in front of Arsenal.

Thinks she is alot bigger/ better than she actually is. The bit of fame she got went to her head. Fact is she is still a bench player.

I thought Ouahabi had a decent game today (one of the best she's had for me), particularly going forward, if anything the problem was in front of her, until Fujino went over there.

I think the problem is the "going forward" as she doesn't have enough recovery speed so she gets caught up the pitch. I thought Smith was very good for them, and a difficult opponent, I was glad when she went off.

Great win - I actually thought Rose was pretty good until her error let them in. Her long range passing was streets ahead of Prior and was pretty strong in the challenge. After the error she had a nervy few mins but don't forget she is relatively new to Professional football - came from the US college set up which is levels below. Can only see her getting better and better. Certainly bags of potential.

Our main issue is still left back although once Aoba changed sides Laila was a bit better but man, she get's caught way out of position and unlike Kerstin doesn't have the pace to recover. That is more of an issue.

Agree about L B-B she really has stepped up but fades dramatically after about 70 mins - I would like to see Sydney brought into the side to add insurance and still keep Laura in the team.

Overall though as others have said with Taylor in charge we'd have lost that 2-3 because he would have told them to stop going forward. Aoba being the out ball was superb, I love her work rate.

Not helped by the fact that Sky desperately wanted city to lose this one as she was playing.
Never seen a player get so much camera time as her. Was this the Chloe Kelly show or what.

So glad she & gunners LOST
 
A few things:

A lot of good performances throughout, but Casper the friendly right-back rightly POTM.

You can say Bunny should have scored this or scored that, but she scored the first, was instrumental in setting up the winner and acted like a super-magnet attracting 5 Arsenal players for the second creating a blue-on-red overload in the middle of the box for the second. Simply, we don't win that game without her.

I called her out negatively* last week, so it's only fair to call her out this week - I thought Yama was far better. Had no chances with either goal (the second was a deflection) and her distribution was way better. (*And I spoke as someone in the Yama-over-Keating camp.)

Also need to apologise to Miss Beney as well. I queried her signing, but that was before the Spain game where she showed how versatile she was. She's also taller than I thought she was. She's very mature for someone who's just turned 19. (We do have a right-left imbalance throughout the squad though.)

I think Rose will end up being mint. But you need to bear in mind that she maybe 2 days older than Fowler, but Mary has played far more competitive games. (The US collegiate season lasts about 3 months.) So we need to be patient with her.

It's a pity that version of Blackstenius wasn't around 2 years ago...

Only real negative is that it extends our run to 9 wsl games against the rest of the "big 4" where we've conceded 2 or more.
