On that performance, Viv will be stuggling for game time.Play Bunny and Viv as a two and go full Stoke.

That’s what she said.Looked like she said “I think I’ve broke my arm “ to the physio,
Viv should be playing up front, not in midfield. On that performance, Viv will be stuggling for game time.
Yeah probably, I was just judging her on that performance, can't see her displacing Bunny though.Viv should be playing up front, not in midfield.
Not a regular watcher, so grain of salt needed, but why don't they just play 70-80 minutes.
It was similar in the euros, where they were dead on their feet and injuries abound as soon as it got past a certain time.
Not sure if it is normal for Shaw but I've seen spiceheads kick their own shadow with more accuracy.
Said on comms that we restricted Chelsea to their fewest chances created in about 4 years The good news is that we're not going to be playing them every week. I think this game will be an eye opener for what the WSL can be like for the new signings. Thought Lohman was very good and worked well in a midfield duo with Yui but was less effective after the yollow card (fully deserved) and probably why she was substituted. Kind of surprised me that Yui was the one pushing forwards more and next weeks team selection will be interesting to see how Clinton fits in to this dynamic.Pretty much a par result - Chelsea are +1 goal better than us.
I felt the key to this season would be how long it would take to come up with a defensive formation that works. We can't keep conceding 2 goals per game.
It's safe to say that Greenwood at left back was not the answer.

One more positive: Thought LBB's cameo looked good. Carried the ball progressively and looked confident in doing so. Hope it's a sign of things to come if we can get her the playing time.
I ummed and ahed about mentioning LBB - because nobody else had mentioned it, but I thought she looked very positive too.Said on comms that we restricted Chelsea to their fewest chances created in about 4 years The good news is that we're not going to be playing them every week. Having slept on it I agree, that was quite positive all-in-all.Really disappointed with that result as I thought Chelsea were there for the taking with the players they had injured.
On the plus side, thought we held our own with new signings and a new coach. We're only going to get better too.
Off that performance i feel like my concerns around using Greenwood as a leftback were confirmed. And especially if Hemp isn't in front of her to provide that extra bit of protection. I dont see the point in losing her as a world class LB in order to play her as in a position she is less comfortable in. Sure she wont be up against Ellie Carpenter (who was worryingly good) every week, but she will be targeted there if we keep using her like that. She isn't a marauding and pacy LB. I dunno why we didnt just go out and get one!
We need Bunny back firing on all cylinders asap too. But we have a couple of games to get settled in and find our groove before we play Arsenal at the Joie. And we will really need to win that.
I'd agree with all of this - I have high hopes for the midfield set up with Clinton coming in and LBB looking a very good alternative to the first 3. In fact until Aoba, Mary or Kerolin are fully fit I would go with having a midfield 3 with only one out and out wide player - this gives the new players time to understand their teammates and what the manager wants to do.Said on comms that we restricted Chelsea to their fewest chances created in about 4 years The good news is that we're not going to be playing them every week. Same could be said re the finishing as both men and women teams are just nowhere near clinical enough re scoring. With the injuries - I think there's an issue club wide, not just the women's team. Something is going on in training, no way should all our players be dropping like flies for the past 18 months. Is there an intensity issue in training?

Annoying that we left Park go at a time when Fowler, Fujino and Kerolin are all out as she could have then played in her preferred position. Pity that we couldn't have done the deal back in January and swapped Kelly instead.
When everybody's fit (stop laughing) I don't know how we structure our defence as I've said elsewhere we really could do with slotting Bex in there, purely because of her goal threat from set pieces. Since signing in January, despite missing a chunk of fixtures she's something like our 3rd highest goalscorer in that period.
I think Bunny was fine for her first game for five months. We've got Spurs in two weeks, and she likes a goal or two against them!
