bollocks,,,,,so then as i said previous,,,20/30k in a stadium when the conditions outside are atrocious an elderly man has a heart attack and the emergency services can't get to the stadium,,, let him die cos we have to have our football the selfish ****
He could have had the attack at home and still the emergency service wouldn't have been able to get to him, or in the stadium with doctors, medics defibrillators and an ambulance on stand by Apart from an hospital a football stadium on match day is properly the best place to be

Safest place to be in an electrical storm is a Faraday cage, in other words a car or a bus. I doubt many were walking.
A car. A bus. A faraday cage (like the stadium). Plenty were walking which is why half the first 20 pages are from people saying they are pissed wet through. Either that or they drive a Peugeot.

Should try and play next week, postpone the cup game and BMG league game.

I wasn't going tonight anyway but those who want to go should have the best possible chance of attending, shame whatever happens for the BMG fans.

NO WE WERN`T !!! I was about to go into the lift for CBL3 and we were told to hang on a minute as they were just getting reports of a cancelled game It came over the loud speakers at 7.18 pm.
What else were the police supposed to do ? Cancel it before a fucking drop of rain had fallen and the looked fucking idiots if the wind direction had changed.
I was in Summerbees and all and sundry had to stand right at the back as it was lashing it INSIDE.Me and the lad stood next to a couple from Ireland who arrived at 3.00pm.Now there are the types of people I feel sorry for,but even they agreed it would more than likely get cancelled.
Just one of those unforseen circumstances that NO-ONE could do fuck all about until nearer the kick off.
Well they could have postponed kicked off an hour.

So you keep telling us!! Jesus you make my Mrs seem low maintenance.
You're more than welcome to ignore me anytime you want.

In the meantime, I'll keep replying to posters quoting me as its only polite and no one has yet explained how fans were safe after the postponement at 7:26pm.

Fucking groundhog day... Last time Sunderland, now BMG. 4.1/2 hour return journey to get within 100 yards of the stadium. That said you cant predict a thunderstorm hours in advance unlike the stormforce winds that the metoffice advised 6 hours before the Sunderland game got postponed (still pissed about that one!) if they re-arrange for early evening i'll have no chance of making it so a refund for me and the lad will be demanded. Oh yeh and which silly **** in the highways agency decided to close the Woodhead pass at 8pm when they stated it would only be closed "overnight" for roadworks.... Thanks for capping off a perfect day whoever you are.
