Match of the Day - 2012/13

I thought that when I watched it. He was offside but I suppose we should count ourselves lucky given the decisions we've had this season

Missed MotD, anybody care to say what the gist of their punditry and analysis was?

Kompany's poor defensive game?

Mario's flair up with Mancini?

Colour of shirt?

They basically just concentrated on the offside goal and the fact we clearly would have lost had that been given because, obviously, going 1-0 down with only 86 minutes left there'd have been no way back for us.

At least Peter Reid was vaguely supportive on the other channel even though he thought Yaya was our right back and had no idea how to pronounce Nastasic, bless him. Nice to see them reiterating our dominant second half possession and saying that surely all this pressure would produce a goal, even if their optimism proved misplaced.

The commentator (who probably didn't have the graphic shown on previous page) Nolan, Allardyce, Hansen and Shearer (the latter 2 did have the graphic)all insisted it was onside. The graphic shows that he was offside when the ball was kicked. Thank feck the lino knew the rules.

Next frame is Dzeko offside, they didn't do the same graphic but he looked on to me, he was played on by Mario's marker (didn't record it to do a still). Mario was off at that moment but not after Edin put it in the middle. We missed anyway but just as well.

They were insisting that it was West Ham's first half and our 2nd. Okay they had more shots than they did in the first half but the stats at the end were hugely in City's favour, except the important one, goals, or lack of them werre equal.

There was the tired old insinuation that Mario can't be trusted from the reporter in the post match interview, Bobby seemed to be wondering why do I always get asked the same question and said words to the effect that if you don't score you don't win. Aside from that as already mentioned Lineaker did say we were the unbeaten champions
