I'm sure the tension between him and Pulis started when he was City manager, from that Stoke game when Delap was sent off. Hughes also said Stoke play better football under him, two seasons ago I think.

Has to be said what the last 2 seasons are starting to show is you have a team of players some of whom are talented with a good team spirit and are well organised you will win the league .... oh and you have to NOT have European football to contend with too.

So the conundrum is to win the league and / or compete in Europe - possible?
