Loving the description by the Twitter Twat (Lineker) of the Dipper's defence as "flimsy"....

.....now, had City conceded 5, I doubt the description would have been treated the same.

Agenda? You bet.

All they actually said was that Mané wasn't malicious and that he was unlucky to catch Ederson because he couldn't see him, but it was a dangerous tackle so the ref was correct. I sort of agree with all of that.Thats what i thought. Got no complaints about them tonight. (For once)

Great that Mendy is getting noticed already, he's brilliant.

Not surprised shearer saw nothing wrong. Let's not forget he hoofed Lennon in the head when nowhere near the ball. And he's right, it was ok in his day....if you were Alan shearer England captain.

Such a crock of shit. If he didn't see Ederson, why did he jump 6ft in the air to take a touch? I'm don't believe he intended to kick him in the head, he wanted to get the ball first and so he lunged high to beat Ederson to it. He knew full well Ederson was coming and where he was.

Excellent point. If he hadn't seen Ederson coming he would have gone for the more logical route of trapping the ball close to the ground or let it bounce.

The fact that he jumped and forced his foot in proved that he knew he was in a 50/50, and that 50/50 involved him and Ederson who had the bounce of the ball in Ederson's favour.

He knew Ederson was coming. Having eyes on the ball does not equate to having tunnel vision. Besides, footballers use their eyes to feint their moves. Penalties, no look passes, back heels, etc. Mane might not have intended to kick Ederson's head, but he was fully aware of what he was trying to do and who he was up against.

So happy that we didnt sign that useless twat Evans.....6ft,I didnt think they stacked shit that high (apologies to Full Metal Jacket)

Amazing that City fans wanted him ffs.

What is more concerning is that Pep wanted him and we were willing to part with £23m.

Has that been confirmed anywhere ?

Well not really no. Other than the stories of us wanting to get him for £23m but unwilling to fork out £30m, as far as I know it can either be true or media speculation really.

But during the transfer window it felt ominous and possible. I couldn't remember if there was a Pep interview on our interest in Evans but there were no club statements to say we didn't. I thought it was also convenient that we supposedly valued Evans for £23m and was expecting £23m for Mangala as well.

Regardless, bullet dodged if we did.
