Kovacic isn't nimble or agile enough to be able to simultaneously put pressure on a player without clattering or going body to body with them. Too much of a risk keeping him on, he's gonna have to give every player a yard of space.

He hasn't been given the chance to. He's mainly seen the ball back to goal being pressed. It's our midfield that can't open themselves up for a pass to allow us to turn and get the forwards involved.

We're currently relying on Dias and Ake for service. Ake has been sensible, kept it moving, nothing risky but that's fine. Dias has been woeful though. trying things that aren't on and giving it away constantly. Just keep the ball moving like Ake and trust that eventually somebody further forward will free themselves for a pass.

haaland isn't the problem, we are playing too narrow today and not really creating much. Some of our best chances/play has come from his hold up play starting off an attack.

Today I wouldn’t have a striker but Alvarez would lead the line for me. I’d rather fill out midfield
