We have now nothing to lose. Press them all over the park in the 2nd half and bring on subs as soon as possible.

Navas boo boys can fuck right off, looks the most likely to create something.

Dave and Jovetic for Milner and Dzeko please. Push Nasri left and drop Dave in behind Jovetic.
He's been shite, complete and utter shite.

Clean your glasses. There's no one in the box. Edin too busy playing off Mangalas shoulder and having a tiff with everyone in the field to get in the box

But sure lets just have him fire cross after cross in to nobody.

pmsl
Lets have him beat his man first before we even think about having him cross it, shall we?

Or at least have him use his pace, baby steps obviously.

He brings sweet fuck all to the team.

As is often the case, he who receives the most abuse proves pivotal in the game. However, he really has been utter shite.

Could be the ultimate rope-a-dope with Dzeko playing deep and then all of a sudden a ball over the top and him anticipating it and making a beautiful run for the goal.

Hope we dont leave it as late as Pool yesterday, they only really decided to really go for it 1-0 down, 80 minutes gone...

We have to risk the current EL place (based on half time resuults) in the hope of CL next round.

Neither Fernandinho or Fernando is ready to ht a long shot, even tho they had 3-4 times in clear position but they just dont or cant shoot. Someone like Yaya or Lampard would have tried it.

As I suspected, a lot of graft, effort, attempts on the break and good situations to make something happen but we have lacked that inventiveness and single mindedness in the first half. I will still say that is has been a good half and hopefully Jovetic or Silva can come in and make that difference.

Dzeko has done some good things but as a whole he has had a frustrating g first half and missed a good chance,

Concerning Navas.
The necessity of Navas and why he is been selected every game, seems more and more apparent every time I watch the team. On the surface, his final ball and dribbling ability seems suspect but he offers width, good movement in behind (which is why he gets into those positions to cross those so called bad balls in the first place, which many people seem to forget), he works well with Zabaleta and perhaps more importantly, he disrupts the attacking strategy of the opposing team on their left side- their full backs are forced to stay back so as not to concede a lot of space for Navas to run into. The defensive work of Navas is also undervalued.
Navas is therefore an important outlet and integral to the offense. With Silva getting back, we will have to veer towards a more conventional direction. But Navas has been integral part of our offense and a major weapon since the Silva injury.

This is a very winnable game and I am confident that we will get the job done.

3 clear goal scoring chances created in the first half. Brings "fuck all".

Zabaleta has looked shaky from the first minute. Navas needs to be moved on next summer. We need much more in that position. Would like to see Lamps the first sub on after 60-65 minutes. Knows how to time a run and move onto a ball pulled back. Then Silva and Jovetic on after 75 if we're still at 0-0. We've done ok but they move it quicker and with more control just as they did at the Etihad.
