Just been slow with our play. Up the tempo and we can win this, I suppose the danger is that it also leaves us open to the counter.

A big worry is our decision making though. Walker not passing to Haaland was a crazy decision but I think Phil’s was even worse. He was one-on-one with an injured Cash (who was on a yellow card) and he turned back and played a safe pass instead of driving at him.
 
Poor play from us. I guess if Kyle had passed to Haaland Ithen we might have had a couple more. They are more confident defending now. You can see a brilliant chance opening up and then we overhit the pass. Pep will know what to do, hopefully change it around. Come on you blues!
 
What is it with some of the players,foden a couple of games should have passed to Haaland didn’t now Walker doing the exact same thing it’s a fucking team game not about individuals seems sometimes some want to get in on the glory of scoring a goal rather than thinking of the team ..
 
Villa an average side but well-drilled here and we're creating nothing. Have to agree that Phil seems to be regresssing. Crying out for Alvarez, but also Mahrez, who, if he's at his very best can play himself right into the starting line up.
 
Too many medium/long passes going astray. Keep the passing short, turn the man-for-man markers and we'll find spaces.
 
We started really confidently, almost too much so. Villa grew onto the game a bit, but had to work very hard that half. I’ve no doubt we’ll make the most of the gaps that start to open up in the second half. This was never going to be 6-0.
