Looks like we might not be in a title race this season if we can’t get our shit together soon.

Suppose it was going to happen at some point. Especially after a table campaign.

Kinnell the title is not won early December - I will be concerned if we don't do our new year surge - now as long as we are thereabouts is good enough

There’ll be changes positionally, in build up, in the off the ball shape/press, if not in personnel. Harder to spot what they are though.

Indeed, which has been far from optimal planning. Guardiola has insisted on working with a small nucleus of higher-standard players, which culminated in last season’s glories, but it was always going to be the case that the intensity would take its toll. We’ll muddle through just now but one wonders how many more will go down injured between now and May.

Part of the problem is that the small nucleus of high standard players are all likely to be internationals and regularly playing in other games. Plus the WC was halfway through last season so many players got bugger all breaks unless they were injured.
We need a bigger squad due to the demands on the players.
