It genuinely feels like we're trying, and the lads haven't given up on Pep. But fucks all seems to go our way at present.

Corners are abysmal, I'll concede that. He isn't going to change it drastically how we play, so it just might be down to the lads getting a bit of confidence from somewhere, somehow.

We're still in this. Kev and Doku could be key from the bench if they're needed. But I don't think we can afford to go 2-0 down.
Trying in a system that doesn't work, it's on the manager.

Why did the whistle go then it was few second short of the minute with Grealish being pushed but still got the ball and attacking it’s either play on or free kick

That half was just City in a nutshell. Controlled it for the most part. Create next-to-nothing. Gift the opposition a goal.

Gundo and Bernie just need fucking off completely. They don’t attack, they don’t defend. They’re just taking up 2 places in the side. We are playing with 9 men.

Rico being Rico. Him moving into midfield is one the most pointless tactical decisions I’ve ever seen. Doesn’t add anything to attacks and is then miles out of position every time possession is turned over.

Fuck knows where Stones was going for their goal. He looked like he was a defender on FIFA where the players controller has run out of battery.

Grealish is the only one who is playing at anything like a required level.

This side needs major surgery.

Far better than recently, Villa only look threatening when we hand it them on a plate.

The set piece coach needs to be let go, we are more likely to concede from an attacking corner than score one.

After our second half in the derby, I wouldn't count on it.

Saying that, and despite how abject we are at defending as a team, we are getting a little joy. Grealish is having a good game.
you heard his voice today he’s fired up , you sure don’t want to be inside that changing room atm

It might be paranoia from a bad run but every ball always seems to be behind a player or at their feet rather than in front of them for them to move onto it.

This is why I struggle to blame any individual player for this. We're held together by sticky tape and players are coming back too early because we have nobody else just to get injured again.
And for me thats on Pep. Not the injuries obviously but this insistence on a small squad. He has also been let down big style by the transfer policy - poor recruitment and letting players go without replacing.

So annoying.
