Rest yaya for bayern. The way he is playing, he is our most important player no question.

rest yaya for our most important game so far?

Yaya will play every game in the first half of the season, he owes us extra for bogging off to lose in the Cup of Nations for 2 January's running.

I think he meant rest him today, ready for Bayern!

Can't get our game so I'm watching that shower of shite.

I know it is 0-0 but how are West Brom playing?
To be honest, I'm not giving it my full attention, but they're looked lively form what I've seen. The rags are missing Van Persie. They look lost in front of goal without him. Just watching Rooney get a free header horribly wrong.

We have exploited the flanks very well, but haven't been clinical enough with it. I'd bring Navas on in second half, he might be able to exploit it better.

He would. I am satisfied with nearly every players' performance except Milner (and to some degree Dzeko). Milner has wasted chance after chance after chance... Two of which he was under absolutely no pressure. Everytime. Navas gets the ball on the flank he looks like he is going to find the head of one of our forwards.

Milner off after 60 minutes for Navas (if he is fit).

I know it's only Villa but the Yaya/Fernandinho tandem has been brilliant so far today. You can see how they're beginning to understand each other properly so that one of them will drop off when the other one makes a run forward. Fernandinho's energy is brilliant, really allows us to press the opposition in teir own half of the pitch and it's been a key feature of us being able to actually get at their back 5 before they get a chance to regroup into 2 banks.

I think Fernandinho is probably the most important factor in us beating bottom half sides away from home this season.

Think he means to take him off early in the second half so he is fully rested for Bayern

I think yaya may have September player of the month sewn up

It's not really that suprising what he's doing with fern around him, 15 was in the head preseason, I'd say 20+ is on, if he achieves that he goes into the top 3/4 midfielders in the world!!

he's the best midfielder in the world

We haven't been "excellent". We have been decent. Villa have been absent and we have been very wasteful with our chances.

Still, we have a goal and that's all that matters. Now let's keep/consolidate our lead.

I think we need the energy of players like Aguero or Tevez (now Jovetic since Tevez has gone) to break teams like this down. I am not sure Dzeko+Negredo is really working as a pairing. Surely better to have one big tall striker and an Aguero-like player buzzing around behind?

Yep Jovetic on and either Dzeko or Negredo off
