The chavs triumphed by putting a shift in, discipline and working on their defence so it worked on the night and with 10 men. This is a very good team we are playing, but once again we look like a team without shape, cohesion, or leadership. It's not over either way, we could score 2, or 3, but more likely is we will get humiliated.
It reeks of a team where the wrong elements have gained sway.

We can't play like Chelsea did because we have no real pace going forward. We've had more possession than I thought we'd get but with Yaya and Nasri in deck-chair mode we aren't threatening enough.

Gameplan is crucial in CL. Without one the players are out of ideas, organization and everything is a big mess. Like City today.

Notice how the ref booked Fern after only 12 minutes. That made a massive difference to the game. Our one defensive mid now walking a tightrope and afraid to tackle for the rest of the game.

No hope here, but taking Nasri and Kompany off and bringing on Mangala and Navas for width would be a start.
Kompany is gone so bad I doubt even Alan Kernaghan would be happy with those levels of performance
