Unfortunately has given the ball away a number of times leading to attacks,maybe trying to hard just needs to relax and play his game,although he was in the right place and reacted for his goal ..

Only caught the last 15 mins of the first half, but watching the highlights back looks like Rico is playing well.

Rico brilliant, kovacic is class and will get better with game time. Some great defending by City against a very strong Munich line up.

It’s not harsh, as I was only assessing his half, not him as a player, as others have done, which I agree is OTT.

I think he had a poor 45 minutes, apart from the goal.

The word was it was his mother who didn’t want him here. She wanted him at Bayern. Just what I heard.

Yep. I also heard she was negotiating his contract and wanted in the region of 250k per week that Bayern were willing to pay. Surely though if he was happy at City he was free to say.

Whilst Phillips has a contract here and that means of course we can't just sell him without him having an input. If Pep wanted him gone and told him as much, I don't think Kalvin would stay.

He doesn't appear to be the type to have an attitude problem or be an issue. I genuinely believe the club just aren't too fussed on bringing in anyone else and Pep is fine for him to be here.

I agree - the club will get on with it if Phillips himself doesn't intend to leave, I just think it will be massive waste of time for Phillips himself if he doesn't see the writing on the wall.

Euro season and I'm not sure he's going to have much of a shot at the international squad if he has another year like the last. Playing week in week out for a club like West Ham and he'll be fine.

Think mcatee needs to look at ricos determination to win the ball and keep it.
Too easily dispossed and his awareness is slightly off.
That said I do love players like this.
He won’t be playing Bayern every week.
We have to keep this lad and develope him

Yeah, he looks shy-but its there, just whether City give him the chance to stay this year.

Play poor and get a goal isn’t too bad. I just find it hard to judge a player based on a warm up match

Mccate is nowhere near the first-team level for now. Pep surely didn't praise him for those few lost balls either. Hopefully, Haaland and Kdb will come in the second half. Kova is playing well imo.
