As others have said, Rico looked very good. He was everywhere and his recoveries on the Bayern counters were exceptional.

Kovacic also looked comfortable, barring a few misplaced passes. He has that pace over 10 yards that will help us break out of the team press we’ll face regularly.

Dias continues to be the best CB in the world, and Stones the best English player, full stop.

Play poor and get a goal isn’t too bad. I just find it hard to judge a player based on a warm up match
I’m not judging him as a player, though?

I clearly said I was assessing his half, which I thought was poor overall.

I think you are confusing my post with others trying to claim he is a poor player.

It’s not harsh, as I was only assessing his half, not him as a player, as others have done, which I agree is OTT.

I think he had a poor 45 minutes, apart from the goal.
People underestimate the jump from the Championship to the Premier League. The jump from Sheffield United to the best team the league has ever seen is even hard to quantify. It's very possible that McAtee is never good enough for City. It's a hard truth but probably the more likely event of him making it here and not.

Letting Kyle go for €13m is a joke.
Who came up with that figure? Let me guess....media. Pep has just spoken of his specific skill set ie pace being unique to anyone else in world football. He has 1 year left on his contract but so does Mbappe who is rated at £259 million. Didn't a wolves player just go for £49 million. Surely £40 million in today's market is correct. He looks good for 3 years yet. I wouldn't sell him anyway. Give him another 2 year deal.
