Match Thread: Blackburn Rovers vs Manchester City

Broken record time: for a side with so much possession we create very few actual chances.

Same old, same old - seen us do this countless times and fail to strike the important blow . Desperately hoping for some Balo brilliance and to be fair he´s got that look about him tonight

Milner for Barry and I think we can win if we pick up the tempo.
i would put Dezko on

So would I if we haven't score later on. But the woeful lack of creativity other than Silva is costing us as usual and Milner can set up goals, while Barry is a walking liability who will probably get a second yellow. Johnson is disappointing again but got a few more touches near the end of the half when we was moved to the left.

and its this type of game why people get on barrys back - fucking woeful when pressed and gash at switching play, watch how many times he plays the ball to kolorov when he is boxed in, beggars belief.
Oh no, someone has the ball! Quick, I'd better run into them at 90 degrees, the ref will never pull me up on that!

Lol @ some of the overreactions.

We need to step up a gear but have dominated the game and are unlucky not to be ahead.

I think we've played a great half. And so has Blackburn. We just need to stay calm. We are doing what you are supposed to do to score. The other team is just doing a fantastic job seating back. Remember how hard it is for other teams to score when we seat back. Obviously, others can do it too.

The match is so open, the pitch looks huge. Not worried (yet), Silva and Yaya needs to get the ball more often. Not sure what Johnson is doing, always seems to be out of play, hopefully he'll find better positions 2nd half.

Blackburns midfield aren't posing any big threat offensively, think we could do with taking off Barry for either Milner or SWP (putting Silva in the middle).
