Match Thread: Blackburn Rovers vs Manchester City

Re: Blackburn Must Game Win

Was must win for Spurs and they blew it.

A draw is now a good result because if we match what Spurs do we will get 4th, and their home games are running out.

Liverpool are coming into the equation, but even if they win all their remaining games we only need 8 points from 6 games to finish above them.

Blackburn are good at home and desperate for points. Not a good time to play them. I'd be happy to come away with a point

Providing West Ham don't pull off any miracles they're not in any alarming danger either. This isn't a do or die game for them.

If we win on Monday I think this is how cyberblue will probably put it:

No idea what the last two posts are about, but a win at Blackburn would be a great lift for City. Unfortunately, after beating United in the past, our history in respect of games immediately thereafter is not exactly brilliant, so we may need some luck on our side. You statisticians out there are welcome to prove me wrong as I'm only going by memory rather than actual results.

This match can't get here soon enough. I'm going stir-crazy without and City football to watch. With all of our momentum coming of the Wembley win, I just want us to get back on the pitch to keep it rolling.

I think we could play with formation 4 4 2, with Balo and Dzeko upfront, and yaya running behind their def. sometimes, we need 3 points here, and although its gonna be a tough one, we need to win it.

Utd are Champions in waiting having won just 5 games away from home - and most of those were down to dodgy refs.

Winning away from home in the Premiership is not easy, especially at relegation battlers who are playing one of their last home games. These teams are liable to raise their game.

We did have an away league form that pissed on theirs in the first half of the season though, it's why we were top of the table, albeit very briefly :P

Can feel those season run in nerves star to build. If we win this game I think we've done 40% of the job left. If Spurs lose at Chelsea and we beat West Ham, we've done another 40%. The other 20% just being us beating them at our place, even if we screw up at Everton. Never thought an away day to Blackburn would be so important! I pray I can look at the table for the following week with us sat 4 points clear. Still a lot left to do Blues!
