I don't think it's that, I think he's doing what he normally does around this point of the season which is give the team enough rope to hang itself and see how much certain lads want it. August to March is just the time when Pep decides on the XI he'll stick with for the run-in.

They always seem to do that in the second half. Losing to Brighton who by all accounts were well worth the lead, then boom, two goals and win the game. They simply have better options upfront. We have Haaland....end of.
