I do think with the midfield three we don’t have the ability to counter as I feel they are exposed when they bomb forward

The idea that we can win this league without investing in January is laughable, by the way. The squad is not only too small but frankly, too old, slow and injury prone. Need a proper Rodri replacement and a back up for Haaland, minimum. We should also be looking for a Walker replacement.

What’s the point of Bernardo playing? He gets the ball in advanced positions with Haaland and Foden ahead, but always slows down to show off some skills and pass backward!
Bernie can only beat a man in our half. He’s like Messi 20 yards from our own goal. More like Ricky Holden 20 yards from their goal.

Works a lot harder than he gets credit for, similar to what Grealish does on the left.
Indeed.

Realised that they’re hardly getting drawn from the middle. So neither Gundo nor Bernie or Foden have that much space to affect things.

Injuries and loss of key players’ form is taking its toll. In the absence of Savinho and Doku, it’s utterly predictable, pedestrian, short-pass, don’t dribble, don’t shoot, no-ambition stuff.

I actually fell asleep.

I’m not a knicker wetter though so fingers crossed for some inspiration in the second half.

Who else is there? And don’t kevin we all knew he wasn’t playing any serious part of the season.
My reply to the original poster in which he was correct to say "Gundogan is playing too many games". I don't think Pep had this planned for Gundo to start every three days only for injuries.

We need to dig in and try ride the storm until we get players back.

McAtee is the only other option we have to replace Gundogan OR play Rico Lewis in a more advanced position.
