Im genuinely surprised Pep still sees Gundogan and Kovacic as a combo.

Its always been bad, and maybe the injuries are forcing his hand, then he needs to have some faith in McAtee, Lewis or O Reilly in there instead.

Pretty astonishing, but not surprising, how bad some of our players are currently playing.

Gundo woeful, Bernie just too slow nowadays, Phil just something not right.

Painful to watch.
Harsh..... nearly true but harsh.

Not the best half for us and Bournemouth deservedly ahead. Played well enough on the ball but haven't really created anything of note.

We need something from somewhere but it's hard to see where at the moment. I can't help feel that Gundogan is handicapping us presently. He isn't really offering anything at all and his presence makes us so easy to play through.

I'd look at replacing Gundogan with either Lewis or McAtee (assuming KDB isn't ready for 45 mins). Maybe also look at bringing Doku on if he's fit enough. Make those changes and add a bit more creativity and we can still win this.

We could have put the money down for Bruno Guimaraes’ release clause and had energy, technique, dynamism, but we cheaped out and got a 34 year old Gundo that can’t run instead, on a contract where he gets an automatic extension if he plays enough games. And due to the injuries, he will. The board need to show we are actually serious about continuing to be successful beyond Pep. The summer window was dreadful.
Criminal. We are desperate for a player like that. It could cost us long-term.
