Don’t get me wrong, it was never a red card. But what the fuck was Cancelo doing?

Caught under the ball, misjudged it, felt contact and then dived for no reason (he was never getting a free kick in that situation)… a comedy of errors from him and the ref!

Still not a red!
Spot on. The ridiculous decision marginally masks the calamitous defending from what was a very simply long diagonal.

Sod the letter of the law. If you can’t see that Welbeck jumps into Cancelo and falls over then you shouldn’t be a ref
Cancello tucked his arm inside Welbecks arm and impedes him moving forward. A lovely professional foul that probably wasn't seen in real time but it was by the VAR team so their was no possibility of the on field decision being challenged. Walton didn't even see it so it shows how crap he is

Apparently Torres was very upset. Had to be consoled by fernandinho
He was probably told this is his chance to stake a CL final start and Twattwell just took it from him.

I wonder if Lahoz is taking notes?

Lahoz is the ref for the final? Uuuuh that could turn ugly for Pep. Lahoz is such a disgrace..
