To be fair to Mancini he is on a hiding to nothing team selection wise. If he plays NDJ and Silva tonight and then United beat us the forum will go into meltdown.

As much as I dislike Barry if he and Yaya cant take control of a midfield against Spearing and Lucas then there are serious issues.

Sometimes I think the manager couldn't pick a team that would satisfy everyone.

Squad rotation is designed to keep players fit ready for the end of season run in, where the best 11 can be picked for important/though games.

This is the end of season run in! This is an important game!

And we're still doing it.

Why do we need to rest players when we dont have another game for 5 days? We dont create anything when Silva isnt in the side. The only player that i would have 'rested' would have been Yaya simply because he looks out on his legs in every game after about 70 mins. We won 5-0 and put in our best performance so why change the team?

Typically, at this stage of the season, every team would put out their strongest side... even the rags are putting out their strongest teams and they still have potentially 4 more games than us to come this season.

So it's a bit strange that, given Mancini and Kidd stating that top 4 is the priority, and a must-do... we have seemingly put out a weaker team in our most important game!
