Match Thread: City vs Arsenal

kick ass these time round, arsenal have made their fans proud by beating us on our backyard and this time we do the say to them for what u sow comes as a widen to the slave.i only hope we dont give another red card again.good luck city.

It's about this time of the season Aresenal start to fade away - we have the best away record in the league so no worries 3-1 city win no danger

All being well my ideal starting 11 (plus subs) for the Asenal is listed below. (however, should Silva fail a fitness test, I would bring in Adam Johnson & put Kolo on the bench.)

1-1 for me Tevez to cancel out a (first half) Van Persie opener in 2nd half

---------------------Hart---------------------
--Zabba---Kompany---Lescot----AK-----------
-------------Dejong-------Barry---------------
---------------Silver--------Yaya-------------
------Balotelli------------------Tevez---------

Subs:
Jo
Boateng
Adam Johnson
Vieira
Given
Milner
Richards

Just heard that Balotelli & Silva are defineately out, so have revised my starting 11.

---------------------Hart---------------------
--Zabba---Kompany---Lescot----AK----
-------------Dejong-------Milner------------
---------------Barry--------Yaya-------------
------A-Johnson------------------------------
----------------------Tevez--------------------

Subs:
Jo
Boateng
Kolo
Vieira
Given
Shaun-Wright-Phillips
Richards

Regrettably, as Silva is out (and Nasri & Fabregas defiantly in for the Arse) there's no way I can see us getting a result down there. Prediction: 2-0 defeat, unfortunately :-(

thats wrong on two accounts mate. We have the best away record in the PL, and if anything, its around march that we "fade'. And by that stage we're well clear of city anyway ;)

No you don't. Both teams have the same number of away wins and away losses so far this season. We have scored one fewer and conceded two fewer on the road so far, having played one fewer game. If it was a league table you would be ahead by virtue of having played an extra game but have achieved less points per game and have a worse goal difference.

That will undoubtedly have changed one way or another after the match though.

not here to cause trouble but you're wrong. And its strange that almost every city fan also said this on an arsenal forum...
-Arsenal 21 points away in 11 games;
-Man City 20 points away in 10 games;
just the facts im afraid

Name the part where he's wrong. You said the 'best away record'. Do a little thought experiment. Team A has 10 points from 6 away games. Team B has 6 points from 2 away games. Who has the best record?

Using that logic, we should be promoted to second, no...
