It's not like we have that hard of a run in either. With what's at stake, makes no sense to be playing for draws when we just aren't solid enough in the middle or at the back.
I agree but it’s the only reasonable assumption given how we’ve set up to not get beat on recent aways…

How many drinks you had. I’m going to predict you are at least 20 shots of whiskey in.

I’ve watched a more entertaining match of walking football.

They arnt committing bodys but yet still look more likely. Something doesn’t add up here.
No amount of alcohol can do that, got to be drugs

Even the matchday thread feels like it's just going through the motions ha
It's a good point actually. Been reading it and it feels like Blues have just given up on it. Feels like everyone just wants the season to end.

I'm hoping we are using these tactics to lure teams in for next season, when we're going to rule this league again...........

I. Think Pep is trying to avoid defeat rather than playing for a draw. Getting beat when we are as brittle as this year, at this stage, will knock our confidence.

But I hope we take more risks 2nd half.

Well if we don't shoot then we won't be winning today. Can see this being ripe for a bit of Doku magic on the left but who is going to put it in the back of the net I'm not sure.

Pretty level otherwise. They hit the post and Gonzales took it off O'Reilly's head a yard from goal. They're very organised so I'm not too downbeat at all, just need a spark to get that goal.

Good to see the return of us controlling large parts of the game too, a welcome return.
Think toffees allowed us the ball in midfield recognising we’re no danger to them

Saw someone earlier comment that we're playing for a draw here to get all three against Villa...

I don't understand how only getting out of here with a point means we'll somehow turn it on to get a win against Villa even at home.

Unless Villa have a huge hangover from the PSG game and Newcastle cripple half of their team they'll batter us.

A bit frantic. Effort over quality by both sides. More chances will come to City. Nunez having a decent game.

I know we've been shite all season, but I feel like we've been especially awful away from home.

We have been. Teams are happy to sit and counter and we play at a snail's pace which makes it easy for them. Pep doesn't want to sacrifice control in case we leave ourselves more exposed. Just need to move the ball more quickly. Far too easy to defend against.

Only Nunes, O'Reilly and Kev, even looking to do anything progressive with the ball.

Ortega distribution has been shocking.

Savinho and Marmoush can't even make the ball stick.

Gonzales is defo gonna need time to toughen up and be quicker in possession.

As for Gundo, what's the point of having him sit so high when we have him and Marmoush in the same spaces and nobody able to even get the ball up to them unless Kev forces it.

Bernie has had two overlap situations with Kev and failed to get by his man.

All pretty ineffectual, same as the recent derby.

It's a game for Doku and Foden if we want to quicken up the pace of the game and commit defenders.

Doku for Bernie.
Foden for Gundo.
Jack for Savinho.
Marmoush off for me, not the same player outside of Manchester
