Spanked them all half. For me it's clear Pellegrini is trying certain things out that he wouldn't necessarily go with in a league game, especially against a top 6 team but it's good to see there's different options. I've yet to see anything from fernandinho pre -season to show his true value but today he has been absolutely immense. Him and the overall movement of the team have been the best parts of that half. It's so so good to see players other than Silva passing and moving off the ball. Expect Nasri to come on second half for one of the strikers (probably Edin) and for us to go more 4-5-1

Navas needs to come on, and maybe Nasri. Zaba is also not fully fit, so maybe Micah could be put on to provide more strength in defense. So far so good, Arsenal are parking the bus and counter attacking surprisingly. All we need to do is keep the ball better in the final third and try to play quick passes and find a way through. Don't allow Arsenals defense formation to re-assemble.

What is Milner's best position really?

imho, right back. Not that he's ever played there. But he defends brilliantly and can get forward. As an attacking midfield player, I don't think he is fast and/or skillful enough. More of a workhorse, but workhorses don't get you many goals.

we look fitter and honestly can see us looking more hungry even in a preseason.

suprised how clichy let his man go reminded me of maicon vs real madrid just standard defending staying with your man.
