We're understandably missing Yaya & Nasri's creativity, the like of Navas & Fernando can't produce. Though Silva's being marked well and Serg is obviously rusty so isn't running around at his usual speed and movement.

I'm a bit 50/50 on the penalty, while Vinnie did step across it wasn't enough to make Monreal flop to the ground.

Some of the comments here are fucking bollocks.

How's Navas the fall guy?

Kompany fell for two dives and given a pen and a yellow card respectively. Was dispossessed by a trip which lead to him soon giving a pen. He's coming out is pressuring us as our high line has to contend with rapid counter runners like Chamberlain, Sanchez and Monreal. Simply inviting trouble.

The key to the game is stretch the play, we are too narrow. Milner has been equally as poor as Navas at whipping the ball in and I'd sooner utilise Kolarov on that win tbh. Imo the changes need to be formation now. They're playing a 4-5-1 same as us but it's a 4-6-0 at times. We need more magic and inter-play. Jovetic for Milner for me.

If worse comes to worse. Dzeko and Kolarov on. Spray the box with over the tops.

This is why I fear Athletico over any other team in the CL. They play the way we hate.
He's not the fall guy. Nobody is suggesting that but you.

He has, however, been utter shite and wasted umpteen opportunites to attack and given the ball away needlessly.

Saying a player has been bad isn't the same as blaming him for losing. Don't see what's so hard to conprehend about that.

To be fair, for about three pages, it became the bash Navas thread, while Milner has gotten off with very little criticism.
There's no quota for criticism of each player.

Sharpness when in possession is the main thing here and I think all three of Lampard,Dzeko,Koralov will make it worse.

Lampard could only make it better. We are just passing the ball around right now. Lampard holds it in possession and passes selectively. He drives forward. Really basic things we need right now.

Must change it 2nd half, we usually finish games strong, so it's not over yet, Hull pushed Arsenal close recently, I expect us to be 100% better in the 2nd

The backup players play a diffrent style to the main team, that's a problem.

There are only Yaya and Nasri missing? Milner and Fernando are hardly crap are they.
Didn't say they was crap, they have a diffrent style. So that means City's style is changed.

If nowt else, today will be good practice for the Chavs; endless sitting back then everyone piles forward. Don't know what the answer is, maybe Jovetic for Milner?

The two Ferns together is painful to watch; Fernando constantly passes back to the CBs, and Fernandinho doesn't have Yaya's passing eye, although he's got about plenty enough
