The ball not being moved quicker more often added to the fact when Mahrez and Sterling get the ball they have to cut back, play it back to midfield which allows Atletico to set themselves again.

Tough game, as I expected. Hard to break down their defence, especially as all of our creative players are so far forward that it's up to the more defensive players to create - with predictable results.

Somebody needs to step up and try something a bit different. Rodri's usually reliable passing is somewhat off so far and Ake is never really going to attack down the left. Leaves it pretty much to Cancelo to try and create from the right but his crossing has been off too. Bernardo is wasted as the false 9.

Inverted wingers just brings us back into the crowded middle. Would like to see us try Foden on the left and Sterling on the right and see if we can get behind them and get some pull backs into the box for Gundogan/KDB etc to latch onto. That and maybe a few more shots from distance.

Sharpen up and it's a game we can win but we need to try something a bit different.

Tough watch this. Like most games this season it's hard when the opposition set up like that.

Annoying when a ball goes into the near post mind and a natural striker would make that run but we don't have one.

Keep calm lads and dont drop a bollock with a bad pass in a bad area(rodri and cancelo seem the most likely)

I know this isn't exactly going to go down well, but playing against a parked bus has always been extremely difficult, even with a striker. Even back in 17/18 we had huge difficulties against teams like this.

It's just how it is. Dull but statistically efficient (usually).
