Laporte has not looked very comfortable since coming back from injury, to me.
One aspect, and one only, of Liverpool's game that I envy: I just wish that for once we could come out of the blocks at a hundred miles an hour the way they did at their best.

Statistics prove goals are overwhelmingly more likely to come from short corners.

So City use short corners and score more goals than anyone else from corners, even accounting for the extra amount of corners we get.

Even when you don’t use short corners, having someone available to take one pulls a man out of the box which makes normal corners more effective.

It’s not that complicated, the best coaching staff in the world do it because it works.
No it doesn’t it’s a wank idea as proved right in front of your eyes

Grealish and Gómez for Stones and Gündogan I reckon. Foden and Cancelo move to the right. Bernardo moves to the middle. Need more energy in the middle and more natural overlappers. Either way think we’ll win this.
Gundogan? Are you serious. He is the best on the ball this game.

The ref has no business being on a football pitch. Although the fix clearly runs much deeper than just him, when you look at all the VAR checks that come back negative.

We have not played at all well, but the officiating has been beyond abysmal.
If he isn’t a rag/dipper fan then I’m a Dutchman’s uncle

Not convinced any of our penalties were penalties, the handball near the line possibly, we've had our minds elsewhere, mahrez or jack on for gundogan, move Bernardo into the middle
I thought the handball on the line was the most obvious one. It was at least on the line if not over it.
Had to be given. But….
