We are lucky we aren’t going up against a team that will get 95+ points this season.

Compare teams with seasons complete, not now. Even then, I disagree. We are at that level and all the stats says that pretty much

Grealish and Gómez for Stones and Gündogan I reckon. Foden and Cancelo move to the right. Bernardo moves to the middle. Need more energy in the middle and more natural overlappers. Either way think we’ll win this.

I doubt Gomez comes into a game like this

Stones Laporte and Cancelo have all been poor. Akanji has been average. But kudos to Brentford, they are pressing us anytime any of our defenders have the ball.


No one can complain that they are parking the bus. But I expect them to park the bus in the 2,ND half.

Sadly Lewis and Gomez are better fullbacks at transitioning from defense to offense. Cancelo loves his fancy moves too much and John has to wait 5 seconds for the perfect pass. This slow style give the opponent the time to reset their defense.

Anyway, hoping for a better 2nd half

Stones, Cancelo poor and not involved enough. We need to get Haaland in the game.
